An Indie Rock group with a sound that swirls through notes of disco, soul, and pop. This band is fun.
December was not my month. I was sick twice, and trying to be a good parent while you feel like death is that hard, real shit.
As I've felt my lowest my Spotify playlist recently did me a solid and threw on a track from The Go! Team.
Every track I have favorited by this band gets my head bopping and puts me in a fantastic mood. I can't recall when I stumbled on them the first go around, but after another spin through their catalog I found more tracks to enjoy.
They bring a lively energy that originally caught my attention through their most played track, Huddle Formation. The song immediately reminded me of the upbeat/quirky song by Valley Lodge named Go (interesting coincidence it appears). Fast and fun may be the simplest way to describe them.
Some of their stuff also makes me feel I'm in a Kill Bill movie. A very odd grouping of sensations to experience at once and that's the beauty of it. Any music that makes you feel something and in my recent case, get off my ass, is welcome.
Best Time to Listen
Throwing back a few at a pregame in your friends basement or roof deck. The house itself is off-limits.
